He Could Use The Publicity

If you're from the Toronto area then you've surely seen a lot of Val Kilmer lately (by "lately" I mean within the last year or so). Actually you wouldn't have seen all of him, pretty much just his head. Allow me to explain will you? Some dude has been spending an inordinate amount of time photocopying grainy pictures of Val Kilmers head and posting them on various buildings and lamp posts around downtown Toronto. Why? If you've read anything else on this blog you should know better than to ask why people put so much time and effort into seemingly pointless things. I don't know why, dear readers, I just deliver the information and you make the call for yourselves, mmkay? There have been lots of rumors floating around about who is doing this and why it's happening. Some have accused Val Kilmer himself of having put these pictures up as a method of self-promotion, a charge he has denied (although it would have been a really innovative thing to do, I think). Other rumors suppose that there is a local Toronto band called "The Val Kilmer Tagging Caper" and that the graffiti was the musicians' doing (also untrue, no such band exists). So that brings me back to my original theory of a guy with too much time on his hands. Actually, I think I'm going to rename this blog "People With Time To Kill" because that seems to be a running theme. What do you think?
