Cassette Culture

I don't know why, but for some reason looking at a bunch of pictures of cassettes makes me a little weepy with nostalgia. The site Cassette Jam '05 is an exhaustive gallery of cassette tapes, one of which you were probably rewinding with a pencil while cursing your walkman sometime in 1989. I recognized more than one of these little guys and with them came a flood of memories of waiting for the freakin' DJ to stop talking so that I could tape some Mr. Big or Kriss Kross or En Vogue song off the radio. Sure the page take forever to load and it's in Japanese, but it's worth the wait and you're only there for the pictures anyway.
